Description

Northern Wisconsin is an excellent place for night sky and Milky Way photography.  Nighttime light levels are very low in many places, and numerous lakes and wetlands provide excellent settings.  This course is designed, through classroom and fieldwork, to provide the skill set needed to photograph those and many other low-light settings.  You will need a DSLR camera with manual settings; a lens, preferably f2.8 or lower and as wide angle as possible - 24mm works well; and a tripod.  Your instructor, K. Daryl Carrington, Ph.D. had a career as a professional architect and educator.  He has been photographing landscapes and buildings since college, and has always been interested in low light photography. That interest evolved into a concentration on Night Sky and Milky Way photography about six years ago.  Join him for this fun and informative workshop! Pre-register by 8/6.  $125 ($115 members)
