Van Vliet Old Growth Snowshoe

Designated a State Natural Area in 2013, the Van Vliet Hemlocks are a beautiful example of an old growth forest in the Northwoods. Join a naturalist and learn about this unique habitat and some interesting winter animal adaptations during this fun snowshoe.  Space is limited; advance registration required by 1/28.

Transportation from the Discovery Center provided (meet at 12:15pm); or meet at the East Van Vliet Trailhead in Presque Isle at 1pm.  When registering, please indicate if you will be meeting us at the DC.
