Description

The “Gikinoo’wizhiwe Onji Waaban (Guiding for Tomorrow) or “G-WOW” Changing Climate, Changing Culture initiative helps people understand climate change by integrating local place-based evidence with climate science. G-WOW uses Ojibwe cultural lifeways as an indicator of a changing climate for people of all cultures. Do culture and science agree on climate change?  This program will help you be the judge!  The presenter is Cathy Techtmann-University of Wisconsin-Extension Environmental Outreach State Specialist who helped develop the G-WOW model. Cathy is a Professor of Community Resource Development and a NOAA Climate Steward.

An evening of delicious nibbles and expanding your knowledge. Cash bar and complimentary appetizers from 5-6pm, program from 6-7pm. Pre-registration required by 4/8.  Program held at Camp Jorn YMCA. (V)
