Description

Wisconsin has one of the largest self-sustaining populations of Lake Sturgeon in the world.  DNR Fisheries Biologist Zach Lawson discusses the unique history and biology of the Lake Sturgeon in our state and an overview of local Lake Sturgeon restoration efforts and the current status of the Manitowish River/Turtle Flambeau-Flowage population.  Barbara Helmick, DNR Sturgeon Guard Coordinator, joins him to tell you how you can get involved in protecting this ancient fish species.  

An evening of delicious nibbles and expanding your knowledge.  Appetizers and refreshments from 5-6pm, program from 6-7pm.  Pre-registration required byr 3/6/2018.  Program held at Camp Jorn YMCA.
