Summary
Special Guest Presenter, Dr. Erik Olson, is Assistant Professor of Natural Resources at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. He is an ecologist trained in interdisciplinary scholarship, and is currently researching the implications of the sociopolitical conflict over wolves, the spatial and temporal patterns of wolf-human conflicts, how changes to wolf management and policy affect wolf-human conflicts, the behavioral response of white-tailed deer to the presence of wolves, and the top-down effect of wolves throughout the food web (trophic cascades).
Dr. Olson's presentation is combined with an evening of delicious nibbles. Cash bar and complimentary appetizers from 5-6pm, program from 6-7pm. Hosted monthly in the Discovery Center's Main Lodge.
