Van Vliet Old Growth Snowshoe

Designated a State Natural Area in 2013, the Van Vliet Hemlocks are a beautiful example of an old growth forest in the Northwooods.  Join a naturalist and learn about this unique habitat and some interesting winter animal adaptations during this fun snowshoe.  Advance registration required by 2/2.  Transportation from the Discovery Center provided (meet at 12:15pm); or meet at the East Van Vliet Trailhead in Preque Isle at 1pm.  Saturday, 1-3pm.  Free-sponsored by the Freidns of Van Vliet.
