Nibbles N' Knowledge: The World of Wildfires

Join Jon Steigerwaldt, private land management consultant, who grew up in Northern Wisconsin on the 17th Certified Wisconsin Tree Farm founded in the state, as he presents on Wisconsin's lack of a modern Fire Culture and how restoring historic fire regimes to northern pine communities can restore and enhance native pine ecosystems.  Jon has an extensive background, both academically and professionally in natural resources, specializing in forestry, with an M.S. in fires science from UWSP.  An evening of delicious nibbles and expanding your knowledge. Cash bar and complimentary appetizers from 5-6pm, program from 6-7pm. Pre-registration required by 12/12.  Program held at Camp Jorn YMCA. Thursday, 5pm-7pm $15 ($12 members)
