Description

Have you ever wanted to try weaving but didn’t know where to start? This workshop may be just for you! Join local expert weaver Mary Burns for this fun workshop!  We will be working on tablet sized (5” x 8”) wooden laser-cut looms that you will take home with you and keep. We will cover the basic techniques from warping to weaving to finishing a colorful weaving. You’ll be ready to weave more pieces on your little loom after you complete this workshop!  (this loom also includes a smaller (2.75” x 5.5”) loom in the kit. You’ll be taking home 2 looms to continue weaving on!

Participants should bring lunch, a snack, and scissors.  Pre-registration required by 4/17/24.  We will meet in the Forest Room on campus in our Nature Hall at the Discovery Center.  Friday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  $65/Non-Member and $55/Member.
