Description

Join us for the fifth program in our Sense of Place series.  The axe and saws of lumberjacks along with railroad operations dramatically transformed Northwoods around the turn of the 20th century. Join Jim Bokern, Manitowish Waters Historical Society, and discover how lumber companies, pioneer families, and railroads spurred new communities as the Northwoods transitioned from a wild frontier. New images and insights regarding logging and railroads will be shared.
