Share in the old-time tradition of celebrating the Maple Sugar Moon at the Schrader Center in Oglebay Park. The Maple Sugar Moon is the full moon in March. Join us for a reading of Sugarbush Spring by Martha Wilson Chall and hear the story of how and why trees give their ‘extra’ this time of year. Then, take a short hike to listen to the sap drip and smell the maple steam. Finally, taste “Jack-Wax”; hot syrup poured over snow (cones) that instantly hardens into a delicious old fashioned treat of yesteryear.
