The First Folio Teaches Teachers: Shakespeare’s Text Demystified are free professional development programs offered in conjunction with the exhibition and prepared by the Folger Shakespeare Library. There are 2 and 4 hour workshops to choose from with focus on language and include deep knowledge content for activities that can be implemented in the classroom.
Two-hour workshops focus almost entirely on the First Folio. The first half of the four-hour workshop is focused on the First Folio, with the second half including ways to meaningfully connect teachers and students with Shakespeare’s language.
Choose from the following sessions:
2-hour session - 10am-noon Sat., Mar. 5
4-hour session - 10am-2:30pm Sat., Mar. 5
2-hour session - 10am-noon Sat., Mar. 19
4-hour session -10am-2:30pm Sat., Mar. 19
*An optional box lunch is available with each session for $10. There is no fee for workshops.
