Parents' Book Group
Description
Jump into a good book! Our bimonthly, LGBTQ-parent-curated group is for folks who'd like to connect with other LGBTQ parents over a shared love of books touching on or illuminating our parenting. This month: "The Pagoda."
AUTHOR PATRICIA POWELL IN PERSON!
The Pagoda, by Patricia Powell, is a story about finding our authentic selves within the truths and secrets of our ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and immigration status. This rich story, set in 1893 Jamaica, features LGBTQ parents of color revealing their pasts to pave the way for their futures. Read what you can, and come with a question or two for the author!
Check out an excerpt from Chapter Three here.
