Purpose: Farmworker advocates across the state will have the opportunity to network, learn,
and update each other on the latest issues that affect North Carolina farmworkers.

The Farmworker Institute Summit & Networking Event will cover four topic areas: 1) Health, 2) Advocacy, 3) Workshops for Youth , and 4) Policy.
El Instituto de Trabajadores Agrícolas: La Conferencia cubrirá cuatro áreas de enfoque:1) Salud, 2) Abogacía, 3) Talleres para Jóvenes, y 4) Politicas.

Who Should Come/ Quien Debe Venir
Everyone is welcome to participate. The focus of the event is to attract individuals that are dedicated to improving the living and working conditions of farmworkers in North Carolina. You are encouraged to attend if you work at a non-profit and/or heath care organization, labor union, government agency, faith-based congregation, and/or university or school.
Todos son bienvenidos a participar. El enfoque del evento es atraer a las personas que se dedican a mejorar la vida y las condiciones laborales de los trabajadores agrícolas en Carolina del Norte. Language/Idioma
Some workshops will only be in Spanish and some will only be in English. There will be interpretation available throughout the day. The final agenda will indicate the language of each presentation.

Registration Fees/ La cuota de registración
The $25 registration fee covers light breakfast, lunch, materials, and all workshop sessions. A limited number of registration fees can be waived if needed for participants and workshop presenters. If you would like to request that your registration fee be waived or if you need an invoice in order to pay the registration fee, contact Raul Gámez at SAF, 919-660-9247, Raul.Granados @ duke.edu before April 4th.
La cuota de registración general es $25 y cubre desayuno ligero, almuerzo, materiales, y todas las sesiones. Hay un número limitado de becas para cubrir la registración de aquellos que lo necesiten y soliciten.
