72 HOURS = $1250

UPDATE: Huge thanks to Ann McKown and Dan Hudgins, Dawn and Chris Imershein, Kathy Dyda, Kathy Parkins, Dorothy Mora, Michael Bacon, Mady and Mody Rivera, Marie and David Sappenfield, Carl May, Sharlene Simon, Jeanette Stokes, Tom and Ellen Bacon, Meg Goodhand, Marilyn Hays, The Pipeling Family, Greg Palmer, Carol Wills, Parker Platt, Les and Angela Johns, Jessalynn Strauss, Katharine Whitmore, Cherrie Henry, and Calvin Allen for their donations! Y'all put us over in two days. Amazing! (Offer still stands - consider donating even though I made my personal goal. We still need to raise over $10K from our remaining grassroots campaigns by August 31.)

Hi friends!

It's that time again. Time for my annual online campaign for Student Action with Farmworkers. (Click here to skip The Ask and donate.)

Last year, I raised over $1900 in 72 hours, offering the gift of my time for EVERY donor of $100 or more.  These donors received a coupon for a  "Cris" prize - homemade dog biscuits, fly-fishing lesson, vegetarian casserole, music video to your favorite pop song - whatever.  To date, only one person redeemed in their coupon (which expires August 31, 2014).

This year, I will also again offer this same token of thanks for all donor of $100 or more, and every repeat donor over $100 with an expiring coupon extends their original coupon for another year.

Additional offer!:  SAF received a match grant for every new Perennial (monthly) Donor we sign on through the end of our fiscal year. Want to double the reach of your donation? Break up your donation into easy, monthly credit card/ bank drafts of $10,$15, $20 a month! Your $120 donation turns into $240!! New Perennial donors will receive special recognition at our End of Summer Celebration.

So, why do I do this? While it may seem frivolous to offer stunts in return for your gift, I am very serious about raising my fundraising goal each year for SAF. This organization not only does the work in the fields and with its coalition partners, it does this work while cultivating young activists, arming them with the tools they need to be socially conscious organizers in their home communities. Read more about SAF's Student Organizing Programs...

Funds earned through my campaign can be used to run these life-changing programs, but could also go towards the over $15,000 in scholarships SAF awards to its participants at the completion of their placements, or fund our new academic year internships. Read more about our alumni...

Breakdown to reach goal:

One $1250 donor (receives a free service and a handmade card)

or two $500 and one $250 donors (both of whom receive a free service and a handmade card)

or five $250 donors (all of whom receive free services and handmade cards)

or thirteen $100 donors (all of whom receive free services and handmade cards)

or  twenty-five $50 donors (all of whom receive handmade cards)

or fifty $25 donors (all of whom receive handmade cards)

or one hundred and twenty-five $10 donors (all of whom will be thanked on this website and facebook)

Please donate what you can now . A drawing for a "Cris" prize will be made from ALL donors when my campaign ends July 19!

Thanks so much for all you do,

Cris
