NATIONAL FARMWORKER AWARENESS WEEK, MARCH 24-31

Got Food? Thank a Farmworker! Across the country, farmworker women, men and children work from sunrise to sunset harvesting the fruits and vegetables we bring to out tables everyday!

This year we will celebrate the 16th National Farmworker Awareness Week(NFAW)! Organizations, student groups and community members from all over the country will come together to honor farmworkers and their families, raise awareness of the struggles they face and demand safe working and living conditions.

Many people are not aware of where their food comes from. We believe knowledge is power! The goal of NFAW is to educate the public and bring more allies into the farmworker movement so that together, we can stand in solidarity with farmworker justice.

For 16 years Student Action with Farmworkers(SAF) has been collaborating with allies across the country to coordiante National Farmworker Awareness Week.  We invite you to get involved in the farmworker movement by donating a tax-deductible contribution to SAF. Your contribution will support the cost of NFAW materials for next year, which include bumper stickers, buttons, posters and support for partners to bring speakers to their campus and communities.

Invite your friends and family to support NFAW! Donations will be taken until April 7th.
