Atlantic Grill’s Music-by-the-Sea Celebrates 20 Years!

Our Atlantic Grill Music-by-the-Sea concert series celebrates 20 years this season! Come find out why the series is heralded as a family-favorite summer event, complete with great music, unparalleled seaside dancing, and delicious picnic-style dining, all for a great cause.

The season kicks off on Thursday evening, July 2 with the premier U2 tribute band, Joshua Tree. Joshua Tree awes the crowd with their remarkable reproduction of the world’s most popular rock band.

One of the most fun-loving, local party bands is back on July 9; Jumbo Circus Peanuts. The big bands’ swinging-pop-jazz, crazy costumes and tossed-into-the-crowd beaded necklaces keep the crowd on their feet all evening.

Drowned Valley and The Joshua Incident take the stage on July 16 for a special concert to benefit the Center’s Marine Mammal Rescue program. Sponsored by the UNH Marine Docents, their infectious fiddle-playing bluegrass/folk rhythms will connect with all ages and lighten the spirit.

The TonyMack Band joins the series for the first time on July 23 and is sure to be crowd-pleaser! You’ll dance the night away with high-energy classic rock and R&B tunes.

Be sure to arrive early on July 30 when Entrain rocks the shore. Entrain has proven to be a favorite of Music-by-the-Sea fans and has brought sell-out crowds. The band is praised for its ability to shift effortlessly between musical styles—from rock, blues, calypso and ska, to zydeco, jazz and funk—all based around drums and an infectious rhythm.

Concerts are held under a festive tent on the lawn of the Center, rain or shine. Bring a beach blanket or chair, pack a picnic, or purchase freshly grilled dinner and beverages on site. Concert-goers can enjoy the Center and its exhibits, free with concert admission. Alcohol and dogs may not be brought into the park; adult beverages available for purchase.

The music begins at 6:00 p.m.; gates open at 5:00 p.m. for dining. Tickets are required and are $12 for adults and $2 for children ages 3-12; under 3 are free. Tickets are available at the Center, at the gate or online. Tickets are good for any one of the five concerts in the series.

Members can purchase their tickets at half-price. You can join online or at the gate and enjoy all the benefits membership offers, including on-the-spot discounted concert tickets! Please note that holders of a Library Membership Pass do not qualify for half-price concert tickets. For more information, call 603-436-8043.
