Situated on the ocean’s edge, within historic Odiorne Point State Park, the Seacoast Science Center provides a unique and memorable setting for reunions, anniversaries, commemorative celebrations, or any important event in your life. From the fun and games of a family picnic to a formal dining experience, the Center is sure to surpass your expectations. Knowing that your rental supports the Seacoast Science Center’s outstanding educational experiences makes your event meaningful and memorable. 

We offer three distinctly different settings.

Sugden House and Exhibit Galleries 
The historic Sugden House is one of the seacoast’s favorite meeting venues. Its stone walls and extensive lighting options create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The Sugden House is complete with a kitchenette, seating for 100 theater-style or 70 at tables, ample presentation technologies, wireless internet access and a stone fireplace. The Center can accommodate up to 150 guests throughout the exhibit gallery spaces for less traditional events. This arrangement works well for cocktail-style parties (group size of 75-150), with buffet and bar stations located among the exhibits.

Function Tent
Outdoors, the Center can accommodate up to 200-225 guests (depending on setup) under the festive, white 40’ x 80’  function tent, which is installed on our north lawn from late-May through mid-October. For a traditional sit-down reception with a dance floor, the tent will accommodate approximately 180 guests. This area is the most private part of the public park. The lawn area is bounded by the Center, the woods, and 600’ of oceanfront shoreline. The seaside vista includes four different lighthouses, the Piscataqua River, and the Isles of Shoals. 

Gregg Interactive Learning Studio
The Gregg Studio is our modern meeting venue, packed with user-friendly, high definition presentation and video-conferencing equipment. The 1,300 sq. ft. studio can accommodate up to 75 guests.

Whether you choose to plan the festivities on your own or hire an event planner, our site sales manager will connect you to the area's best caterers, and a Center staff member will be on site during your event to assist with questions and site-specific logistics.
