Daily Themes

Fantastic Fish!: Monday, April 20/27

Come meet all the cool fish that the Center keeps on exhibit. Learn how we care for them, and watch as they are fed their lunch. Discover some of the special adaptations they have for survival, such as the ability of a puffer to inflate like a balloon! We’ll play some fun fishy games outside.

Pond Ponderin': Tuesday, April 21/28

We’ll head out to the pond and vernal pool to look for frogs, turtles and all sorts of creepy crawlies. Learn about the life cycle of the creatures we find.

Earth Day Adventures: Wednesday, April 22/29

Celebrate Earth Day with us as we adventure outdoors looking for crafty designs and patterns in nature. We’ll celebrate the earth by making our own natural masterpieces, and play some fun Earth Day games.

Science Fair Fun: Thursday, April 23/30

Scientists design and conduct experiments to better understand the world around us. We’ll spend the week conducting our own wild experiments to get to the bottom of some of nature's mysteries.

Hard Alee! Boats and Navigation: Friday, April 24/May 1

When you live near the seacoast you rarely go a day without seeing a boat. Big boats, small boats, sailboats, speedboats—so many different kinds of boats! Come find out as much about boats as you would ever care to know. We’ll also investigate some of the tools boaters use to find their way on the big ocean blue.
