Angel of Hope

Located in a quiet, garden setting, Blanchette Park, St. Charles, Missouri is home to the Angel of Hope.  The angel’s face is that of a child, its arms raised, as a child waiting to be lifted.  In its wing is inscribed the word HOPE.  This beautiful statue is an exact replica of the Christmas Box Angel statue, located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and stands as a symbol of hope for all parents who have experienced the death of a child. The St. Charles Angel of Hope and surrounding garden is intended to be a place of peace and healing for all bereaved parents.

On December 6th of every year, families and friends gather at the Angel of Hope for a candlelight vigil in rememberance of the children we have lost.  This event is open to the public and all attendees are asked to bring a white flower and an enclosed candle for the memorial service.
