Description

Description: This session will explore the concepts presented in "No Drama Discipline: The Whole Brain Way To Calm the Chaos and Nurture Your Child's Developing Mind," by Daniel Siegel and Tina Bryson. The authors begin by reclaiming the word "discipline," moving away from what have become negative connotations involving punishment and rigidity, and back to the original meaning of the word-- "to teach." Combining cutting edge research into brain development with in-the-moment, "real world" strategies, participants will learn new ways to help children develop self-control and make better, pro-social choices.
