Working with Infant and Toddlers: SAFE SLEEP AND Sensory Experience

Description:

Safety should always be the #1 priority when working with children, and being knowledgeable in safe sleep is a requirement. Tips for safe sleep based on the American Academy of Pediatrics will be the main focus of this training. Also, Children examine the world using all five of their senses. Sensory play is really part of the scientific process. These activities provide children with another meaningful avenue for learning The use of senses are ways for children to understand new information. This workshop will look at what activities support listening, touching, feeling, tasting and seeing. While sensory activities and materials are very rewarding for young children, they also present unique challenges for teachers. This workshop wiill address the challenges. Participants will be given the opportunity to connect and expand different types sensory activities for use in the early childhood classroom.
