Hey Friends!

Thanks so much for showing interest in my trip! I’m so honored that you would consider supporting me for this summer! Below you’ll find a couple of ways that you could help support me, but first I want to update you with how God pulled me from a life of stability and comfort to an adventure that I’m believing will be nothing short of life-changing.

For the past two years I have been enrolled in Highlands College in Birmingham, AL. When I was in High School I felt a call to full-time ministry and I am pursuing it and taking my starting steps to launch into my future at Highlands College. For five years I have had my heart set on staying state-side and being a part of the American local Church. It wasn’t until September of 2015 that God started doing something different in my heart. One day God spoke so clearly to me. He said, “My time in Highlands College has been and will continue to be a time to learn how to Love Him.” The sentence that followed shook me. He said that my next season I would learn how to love people. I thought I already knew how to do this, but it was apparent at that point I didn’t. I needed to do something different.

As I continued to pray about this, God began introducing me to a handful of students that all had one thing in common, Sozo Children. As I continued to have conversations with them about their experiences I couldn’t shake the thought that I needed to do some research. I logged onto the Sozo Children website and watched a video that would confirm a feeling in my heart that, until this point, I was still confused about. A love boiled up inside my heart as I looked into the eyes of these children on this video. It was an unexplainable love for a group of people that I have absolutely no connection to other than three students in the middle of Birmingham, AL and the Creator of the Universe. This is where God is calling me.

Above all else I am asking that you will join with my team in prayer. I never want to start something without including God in it beforehand. I would love it if you would be in prayer for my team as we fundraise and prepare for this adventure, for our hearts to be prepared for what God has in store, and for each and every single person that we will encounter while in Uganda. I would love to know that you’re standing with us in prayer!
