Hello!

Thanks for stopping by! I am so excited to be spending my summer in Uganda! Unlike a lot of people, going to Uganda has not been a lifelong dream of mine. It is a desire that the Father placed on my heart just a couple months ago and has quickly become a reality. I am overwhelmed by the work the Lord has done in my life just to get me to this point, and I cannot wait to experience His plans for me this summer!

An idol in my life that the Father revealed me in the process of applying for this internship was comfort. Once I find a place where I feel at home, I slowly depend less on the Lord and, instead, place my trust and security in the people and places around me that I know well. In coming to school at the University of Alabama, the Father asked me to leave home and come to a place, where I knew no one. Two years ago, He did a similar thing and took me to a place called Lake Forest Ranch, a summer camp that has a special place in my heart because of the incredible things the Lord does there. Both times Abba blessed me in ways that I could never have imagined had I not obeyed. So once again, I choose to obey, trusting our good Father for the truths and blessings He has in store for my team and I this summer in Uganda.

We will be leaving at the end of May and returning at the beginning of August. While in Uganda, my team will be serving at Sozo’s children’s homes alongside the staff and forming relationships with the children. We will also be in ministry to the surrounding community.

Here is what I ask of you:

PRAY! I would not even be this far in the process without prayer. I ask that you join me in seeking the Father through prayer for our internship team, our Sozo family already in Uganda, the children, the people of Uganda, and all others that we encounter throughout this time.

Pray for our hearts to be open and willing to listen closely to what the Father has for us. Pray for each person that we interact with through travel, in Uganda, and throughout the fundraising process. Most of all, pray for the Father to be glorified and for more people to come to know Him and His great love!
