Hello Birdathon and Tucson Audubon supporters!
UPDATE!
Wrenegades dominated again and found 174 species!
It's that time of year again, the birds are coming back to southern Arizona and I'm ready to get out there and find them!
Team Wrenegades is back to defend our title and make it a 3-PEAT! Of course our goals are to have FUN, beat our total of 163 from last year, and raise funds to support the Tucson Audubon Society.
We're going out on May 1, probably meeting around 2 AM to head up Mt Lemmon in the dark to look for owls. Over the next 24 hours we'll drive a big loop to take in grasslands, desert, riparian areas and much more. It will be crazy and exhausting, so look for a fun, detailed report soon after that!

Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So too is each of our connection with Tucson Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation.
Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for over 25 years.
Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.
