Join Ken Blankenship of East West Birding Tours and the Patagonia Bird Blitz team for a Big Day on Sunday, April 23rd, from 7:30 - 11:30 am

Join Ken Blankenship for a morning of birding the very productive Patagonia area. We will start at the Paton Center, then walk the trails in the area as well as Blue Haven Rd, and into the Sonoita Creek Preserve at the south gate. Migrants such as orioles, Black-headed Grosbeak, flycatchers, and warblers are coming through along with possible Violet-crowned Hummingbirds, Black-capped Gnatcatchers, and Thick-billed Kingbird. Meet at the Paton Center for Hummingbirds at 7:30 a.m. and the trip will wrap up at 11:30 a.m.

Fundraising of $100+ is recommended to join this team in the field for the Big Day. Ask your friends and family to donate to your Birdathon effort on this trip! You can join up for the Patagonia Bird Blitz here. Donations of all amounts are appreciated from birders and supporters.

ABOUT Birdathon 2017

Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So too is each of our connection with Tucson Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation.

Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for 30 years!

Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.

This April and May, I'm going birding for the birds!
