The Rosenbirders (Lee Rosenblum, Amy Rosenblum, Cesar "Rosenblum" Sepulveda, Diana Rosenblum, and Matt "Rosenblum" Batten) participated in their third Birdathon this year! The team started their casual Big Day by sleeping in (no waking up at the crack of dawn!) and doing some backyard birding with a cup of coffee in hand. From there, they drove down to Tubac and birded along the de Anza trail, then meandered to the top of Madera Canyon, finally returning to Tucson to finish out the day at Sweetwater Wetlands and Tucson Audubon's Mason Center. With over 50 species identified, the team reached a new, personal record!

During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation. Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of southeast Arizona. Birdathoners continue a tradition that has held strong for over 30 years! Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible.
