Please join us for a night of drinks, canapés, and performed readings from The Common's special spring issue, Tajdeed: Contemporary Arabic Stories in Translation.

Tajdeed (meaning renewal) features new translations of 25 emerging and established authors from 15 countries across the Middle East, from Morocco to Iraq, Lebanon to Oman. Co-edited by prominent Jordanian author Hisham Bustani and The Common's Jennifer Acker, this special issue offers English-speaking audiences fresh insight into the themes, styles, and innovative forms of contemporary Arabic literature.
