Participate in the Movement to Cure Paralysis

Welcome to Izaiah Hernandez's Team u2fp/SCIS Chicago Marathon Page

Izaiah is a Senior at Libertyville High School in Libertyville, IL and is active in Football, Wrestling, and Track. Every year he is a 3 sport athlete, by his graduating year in 2016 he will have played all three sports every year, making him a 12 sport athlete.

Izaiah is running this marathon for himself and his uncle Oscar who lives in Oceanside, CA. In 2002 Oscar was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a traffic accident and became a quadriplegic. Izaiah remains active in life because his uncle follows him closely via social media, website that provide live and recorded LHS wrestling and track meets and football games. Izaiah finds that running is a form of therapy and meditation. He likes that its a competition within himself to get the best time.
