Welcome to Drew Holzfeind's Team SCIS/u2fp Chicago Marathon PageThe 2015 Chicago Marathon will mark the second time I take to these city streets for 26.2 miles and the first time I brave my bib number for two charities that carry the banner for a cause that is very important to me. SCIS (Spinal Cord Injury Sucks) and U2FP (Unite 2 Fight Paralysis) are two not-for-profit organizations that work to advance research and treatments for people with spinal cord injuries and strive to foster education, awareness, and advocacy for the SCI community. This year, they’ve teamed up to further their collective mission to ever-greater distances. Living with a spinal cord injury for 13 years now has been a long-distance effort in its own right. But for many of the quarter million or so people in this country with an SCI, their trek continues to be much harder. On October 11, I will do my small part to help fight this often-uphill race toward an eventual cure. With your donation, you can help advance this cause as well and do your own part to get everyone with an SCI across the finish line! Time Goal: 2:59
