I started working as a nurse in a trauma ICU in 2009, and learned quickly how life altering spinal cord injuries can be for patients and their families. A spinal cord injured patient of mine, Richard, inspired me to start running, and I completed my first marathon as part of team SCIS in 2011. This will be my third time running with SCIS and first time since SCIS partnered with U2FP. I run because Richard, and so many others with spinal cord injuries, can not. Time Goal: 5:00
