I am running my first marathon for those in my life that have been affected by paralysis. First, I run for one of my oldest and best friends, Kathryn Mahoney. Kathryn suffered a spinal cord injury as a gymnast at Michigan State. She inspires me every day with her bravery, grace, and positive attitude. Since 4th grade, I have been able to turn to her for anything. Now, I want to support her in her fight against paralysis. Second, I am running for my uncle, Jack Fox. He was in a car accident that left him paralyzed, and he has shown perseverance and confidence throughout his recovery process. By running this race and fundraising, I want to be part of the "voice of the cure" and unite with others to cure paralysis. I've run 7 half marathons, but I am very excited to tackle my first full marathon! Time Goal: 3:50
