I'm running for Team U2FP to raise funds for a cure for paralysis.  Paralysis and SCI have directly impacted my family since July 4, 2012 when my sister (in-law), Kelsey Peterson, had a diving accident and became a C6 Quadriplegic. Kelsey, a lifelong dancer and yoga instructor, was always on the move, and I know she would run along side me were she able.  You can follow her personal journey by searching for "The Cure Map" on social media.  

This is my first full marathon… I have never done a race like this! Training is underway… I am nervous, excited and mostly feel that I am a little insane.  My goal is to run the whole thing and finish with a smile and to utilize my ability to run to help raise funds for those who aren’t able to; I am hopeful there will be a cure for paralysis and SCI in my lifetime!
