My good friend, Sara, asked me to join Team U2FP with her this year. I’ve enjoyed running 13.1’s the last two years and swore I would never run a full…and now I have the opportunity to complete a new challenge that I haven’t attempted before! I’ve heard the course and crowd support are awesome! I’m excited for the entire experience. (Though I’m sure I won’t be saying that at mile 18). I'm also looking forward to supporting Unite 2 Fight Paralysis by raising money for spinal cord injury research.

I love running with friends and chatting when we train.  I used to hate when people would talk and run, but I have grown to love it and need it!  But I didn't always love running. I ran track in high school and hated it.  Instead of doing our prescribed long runs, myself and a couple other runners would run .5 mi to Wendy’s….eat fries and a frosty and then run back to the track. Needless to say, I’m a much faster, dedicated runner now than I was then! ☺ I’m also a mother to two wonderful little ginger girls!
