Dear Jo,

Just two weeks until we meet in Minneapolis for the 2016 Working 2 Walk Science & Advocacy Symposium. We've added more information to our website, including Speaker Bios, Presentation Overviews, and Transportation Services. If you haven't signed up yet, our Registration Portal has all of the information and forms you need to get registered for the conference.

Speaker Spotlight

Our agenda features presentations from across the stakeholder groups of people working to discover, translate, and market therapies that will bring recovery from spinal cord injury. We are destined to have failures as well as successes along this journey, and can learn a great deal from both outcomes.

Lyn Jakeman, PhD, will moderate the Friday panel discussions.

Megan Moynahan, MS, will discuss the commercializiation of neurotechnology.

Stephen Huhn, MD, will talk about the discontinued neural stem cell trial.

Carrie Shogren, OTR/L, will share her work with electrical stimulation in a clinical setting.

Thomas Cloyd will serve as our Master of Ceremonies for the conference.

Nick Terrafranca, DPM, will discuss the process of taking a discovery to market.

Matthew Rodreick will share his work in building partnerships and moderate the legislative panel discussion.

Brian LeLoup, PT, DPT, NCS, will conduct a breakout session on the use of robotics in gait training.

Jennifer L. Theis, MS, OTR/L, will moderate a breakout session geared toward consumer participation in clinical trials.

Jeanne Olson, PT, MBA and Tommy Sutor, MS, CSCS, will lead a breakout session on the role of fitness in preparing for curative therapies as well as maintaining everyday health.

Restorative Therapies is providing free trials on the RT300 FES cycle at W2W. You will need a prescription and appropriate clothing. Time slots are limited. For more details and to book your trial, contact Deb Ciresi at 800 609 9166 ext 307.

It won't be long! I hope to see many of you in Minneapolis.

Marilyn
