I'll never forget the day my best friend told me she had cancer. It was 2008 and she was one of the 70,000+ young adults to be diagnosed with cancer that year. At 24 I thought to myself "we are too young for this." But cancer doesn't care how young or old a person is. A cancer diagnosis between the ages of 15 and 39 is nearly eight times more common than such a diagnosis during the first 15 years of life. Luckily, she learned about the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults who provided support to her during her cancer journey as a young adult. In 2011, I completed my first 5k at The Baltimore Running Festival as a newly recruited member of Team Fight. Team Fight is an awareness and fundraising program that mobilizes, trains, and supports people of all abilities to make an impact in the young adult cancer movement.
Since 2011, I have finished multiple race distances/types that I never would have even attempted without the encouragement and support of the Team Fight family. It's because of this support that I decided to apply for the 2015 Key to Keys ride and couldn't be more excited and honored that I have been accepted for the 2015 ride. Over 8 days in April 2015, we will ride our bikes from Key Highway in Baltimore to Key West, FL. I hope you will consider making a donation to support this wonderful cause.

UCF Experiences Key to Keys is a journey that brings together a diverse group of individuals to build a community of support for those affected by cancer. Using cycling as a platform, Key to Keys participants come together throughout the journey to share their individual cancer connections and give out as much support to others as they are receiving.
