Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. As you may or may not know, I am a K2K2015 "biker" alumni. I can't begin to tell you how amazing that experience was. I knew by the end of the ride I would do it again. I just didn't realize I would be back this year. However, when I saw that they still had an opening for a support driver, well I couldn't stop thinking about it. I knew what a significant role they played in our journey and I wanted to be able to do that for this year's riders.
So here I am, with the support of my family! My job will be to help the riders navigate the routes from Baltimore to the Florida Keys and get them there safely and without them having to think about anything but the road in front of them and their fellow riders. Our common goal is to raise awareness about young adult cancers along the way, spread love and support by visiting some cancer centers, and ultimately raising funds to support the many free programs that the Ulman Fund provides. They also provide Patient Navigators at several major cancer centers. Key to Keys funds the Navigator at Walter Reed, which supports our military cancer patients. Please consider making a small donation to help us reach our goal!
I will dedicate this ride in memory of my dad. He spent his life giving to his family, friends, and neighbors. All along the way, I will honor loved ones we have lost to cancer and those that continue to fight! Thank you for your support and hope to keep you posted on our journey! Remember, cancer changes lives, so can we!
The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, the Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide free support services and resources for the young adult cancer community including:
Cancer to 5K - a 12-week training program designed to introduce or reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.
Patient Navigation - a free program (onsite at cancer centers and remotely through our office) that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one support & resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer expereience and long-term cancer survival.
Scholarships - a financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.
Your donation will help make these programs and our mission possible!
