This April I will be participating in an eight day bike ride from Key Highway in Baltimore, MD to Key West FL. I decided to make this 1,500+ mile journey to benefit the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults Key to Keys program.
Many of you know that about two years ago I was diagnosed with low grade chondrosarcoma -which is a slow growing cancer. It was causing me to have double vision, and even now, the tumor is still located in the center of my skull. Since then I have been through two surgeries and two months of radiation. One thing I am humbly aware of is that I could never have made it through my journey by myself. I had the help of my family, friends, co-workers and the Ulman Cancer Fund. I don't think that anyone should have to face cancer alone and this is why I want to help raise awareness. Over the course of eight days, I will ride my bike from Baltimore, MD to Key West, FL. Along the way I will visit cancer centers and communities with the hopes of inspiring and uniting communities who are facing similar difficulties to the ones I have faced over the last two years. I am determined to raise awareness of the impact of cancer on young people and to do what I can to help raise funds for the fight against cancer.

The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, the Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide free support services and resources for the young adult cancer community including:
Cancer to 5K - a 12-week training program designed to introduce or reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.
Patient Navigation - a free program (onsite at cancer centers and remotely through our office) that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one support & resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer expereience and long-term cancer survival.
Scholarships - a financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.
