Dear Friends & Family,
This October I will be embarking on a 1,500+ mile Experience from Locust Point, Baltimore, MD to the Southernmost Point, Key West, FL. I will be doing this through the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adult’s Point to Point program. I am doing this trip to help with the funding and support for the fight against cancer. Our mission is to raise awareness, unite communities and inspire hope to put an end to cancer. We will be doing this by visiting cancer patients at hospitals and cancer centers, as well as raising awareness about UCF’s mission in the towns we stop in along the route.
Since my breast cancer diagnosis in September 2016, I had been searching for a way to connect with others who are or have been in this battle. I joined a group called Cancer to 5K and for 12 weeks we met twice a week with our trainer. We not only got out and exercised, but we built meaningful relationship and found amazing support in each other. The impact this group made on my life during this rough journey was priceless. I always looked forward to getting together to be active, talk about our experiences and have fun. I could never repay the Ulman Cancer Fund for putting this program together. So I am doing my part to help raise money to keep programs like this going.
The Ulman Cancer Fund is dedicated to changing lives by creating a community of support for young adults and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. Their programs, like Cancer to 5K, are truly life changing! 90% of every dollar donated goes to providing direct services to young adults impacted by cancer!
I reach out to you for support during this Experience, in the form of a tax-deductible donation. As one of the participants taking on this journey, I have accepted the challenge to raise over $4,500 before we are able to hit the road in October. A small amount of the money will go towards supporting the trip, but a majority of the funds will be used for the Ulman Cancer Fund’s direct services. I have dreamed of an experience like this for a long time now. Being able to support young adults affected by cancer, makes this dream more impactful than I could have ever imaged it to be. I will accomplish my goal of raising $4,500 by October 7th and then set forth on our walk/run, dedicating my quest to the family and loved ones you may know who have battled cancer.
• Donate $100 I will wear the name of whom you would like to honor on my lanyard all 8 days.
• Donate $250 I will dedicate one day to whom ever you like (person or company), put their name on my lanyard for all 8 days, make a sign with their name to carry during part of my walk & post a picture of me & my sign on Facebook.
• Donate $500 I will dedicate 2 days to whom ever you like (person or company), put their name on my lanyard for all 8 days, make a sign with their name to carry during part of my walk, post a picture of me & my sign on Facebook & I will proudly permanent marker their name on my legs to symbolize we are walking this journey together.
• Donate $1,000 I will dedicate 3 days of my run to whom ever you would like, put their name on my lanyard for all 8 days, make a sign with their name to carry during part of my walk, post a picture of me & my sign on Facebook & I will proudly permanent marker their name on my legs to symbolize we are walking this journey together. For a bonus, I will have a sash made with your loved ones name embroidered on it, wear it all 8 days, have everyone on my team sign the sash & send it to you.
I ask that you pass this letter on to anyone whom you may feel is interested in aiding my fundraising efforts. I truly appreciate your support and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

ABOUT 2017 Point to Point
The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, the Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide free support services and resources for the young adult cancer community including:
Cancer to 5K - a 12-week training program designed to introduce or reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.
Patient Navigation - a free program (onsite at cancer centers and remotely through our office) that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one support & resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer expereience and long-term cancer survival.
Scholarships - a financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.
