Mosques and proposed mosques have been much in the news lately, but how many of us have ever been inside one? Here’s a chance to visit the first building erected as a mosque in New York City. Opened in 1991, the Islamic Center was established, maintained, and supervised by the Muslim Ambassadors representing their countries at the United Nations. After the tour, we will meet with Imam Shamsi Ali who has agreed to answer any questions we may have about Islam.
